Job Title: CPN Band 6 – Perinatal
Location: Reading area
Duration: 3-month ongoing contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible hours)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: TBC
Rate of Pay: £25.50 – £26.50 per hour

Join our team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse and make a real difference in the lives of women and families within a perinatal mental health service. Your core responsibilities include:
✅ Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and risk evaluations
✅ Developing and implementing personalised care and treatment plans
✅ Medication management and participation in duty rotas
✅ Carrying a caseload and providing continuity of care
✅ Overseeing students and supporting their learning and development
✅ Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and midwives
✅ Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records in line with compliance standards
✔ Current and valid NMC registration and PIN
✔ Perinatal experience is ideal, but those with a keen interest will also be considered
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
✔ Commitment to delivering high-quality mental health & nursing care
✔ Car driver essential
This full-time role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexible working hours available. The contract is 3 months ongoing, with a strong likelihood of extension based on performance and service needs.
