Job Title: CPN Band 6
Location: Maidenhead area
Duration: 3-month ongoing contract
Schedule: Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: TBC
Rate of Pay:
£25.50 – £26.50 per hour (weekdays)
£30.50 – £31.50 per hour (Saturdays)
£35.50 – £36.50 per hour (Sundays & bank holidays)

Join our team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse and play a vital role in assessing and supporting patients in acute mental health crisis within a fast-paced liaison psychiatry service. Your core responsibilities include:
✅ Conducting urgent mental health assessments in acute hospital settings
✅ Providing crisis intervention and risk management plans
✅ Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including A&E and acute medical teams
✅ Offering specialist advice and support to hospital staff regarding mental health presentations
✅ Referring patients to appropriate mental health services or community teams
✅ Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records in line with compliance standards
✔ Current and valid NMC registration and PIN
✔ Previous experience in Psychiatric Liaison and Crisis Teams is essential
✔ Strong communication and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
✔ Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting with multidisciplinary teams
✔ Commitment to delivering high-quality mental health & nursing care
This full-time role operates on a Monday to Sunday rota from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. The contract is 3 months ongoing, with a strong likelihood of extension based on performance and service needs.
