You’ll be joining a specialist CAMHS Eating Disorders Team, supporting children and young people with moderate to severe eating disorders. In this rewarding role, you will:
Undertake specialist assessments for children and adolescents with eating disorders, including AN, BN, ARFID, and OSFED
Deliver evidence-based interventions, including CBT-E, MANTRA, and family-based therapy (FT-AN)
Monitor physical and psychological risk and contribute to multi-agency safety planning
Work closely with families and carers to promote recovery and engagement in treatment
Collaborate with dietitians, paediatricians, psychiatrists, and other team members within the MDT
Provide clinical input in reviews, care planning, and school reintegration where appropriate
Maintain clear, timely and accurate documentation in line with Trust and professional standards
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A current and valid NMC, HCPC or Social Work England registration
Experience working in a CAMHS setting, ideally with an Eating Disorders caseload
Strong clinical assessment, formulation, and risk management skills
Familiarity with NICE guidelines and evidence-based treatments for eating disorders
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage young people and their families
This role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The initial contract is for 3 months, with strong potential for extension depending on service needs.
