Job Title: Psychologist (Learning Disabilities)
Location: Workington & Kendal, Cumbria
Contract Type: Locum or Permanent
Schedule: 2 days per week (approx. 9 hours per day) – 1 day in Workington, 1 day in Kendal
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: Ongoing
Rate of Pay: £50 per hour (Umbrella)

In this highly rewarding role, you’ll support individuals with Learning Disabilities and other complex additional needs, delivering direct psychological input and supporting the MDT across two community-based services in Cumbria.
Your responsibilities will include:
✔ Psychological assessments, formulations, and tailored interventions
✔ Working with service users with complex presentations and varied support needs
✔ Collaborating with teams on care plans, behavioural strategies, and risk management
✔ Providing consultation and advice to staff teams on psychological approaches
✔ Contributing to the development of care models and service improvement
✔ HCPC-registered Psychologist (Clinical, Forensic, Counselling or other applicable discipline)
✔ Experience working with Learning Disabilities and/or complex additional needs
✔ Comfortable working autonomously across multiple sites
✔ Strong team-working and communication skills
✔ Driving licence or ability to travel between Workington and Kendal
