We have an exciting opportunity within a prison mental health team for a skilled and prison-cleared RMN. This full-time role offers excellent pay, a structured Monday to Friday schedule, and the chance to work within a dynamic and secure clinical environment.
Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) – Band 6
Location: Staffordshire
Duration: 3-month ongoing contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: TBC
Rate of Pay: £26.50 per hour

Join a dedicated team within a secure setting, providing essential mental health support to individuals in custody. Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering mental health assessments and risk evaluations for inmates
Managing a caseload of service users and developing tailored care plans
Administering medication and supporting crisis interventions
Collaborating closely with prison healthcare staff, psychiatrists, and external agencies
Maintaining accurate records and adhering to security protocols
Supporting safeguarding, referrals, and discharge planning
Current and valid NMC registration and PIN
Essential: Prior experience working within a prison environment
Active prison clearance is required
Full UK driving licence
Excellent clinical judgment and risk assessment skills
Strong communication and the ability to work under pressure in a secure setting
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The position is for a 3-month ongoing contract, with strong potential for extension based on performance and service requirements.
