A Day in the Life of a Highly Specialist Psychologist:
Join our team as a Highly Specialist Psychologist and make a meaningful impact on service users through expert psychotherapeutic support. Your responsibilities include:
• Providing highly specialist psychotherapeutic assessments and interventions
• Developing and implementing formulations and evidence-based treatment plans
• Delivering individual or group therapy across a variety of therapeutic models
• Supporting patients through emotional challenges using supportive counselling techniques
• Liaising closely with MDTs to deliver integrated mental health care
• Ensuring timely and accurate clinical documentation
Requirements & Qualifications:
• HCPC-registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (or equivalent psychotherapy registration)
• Degree in Psychology
• Extensive post-qualification experience
• Strong counselling skills and familiarity with a range of therapeutic approaches
• Experience using EPJS systems (desirable)
• Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This part-time locum position is for 22.5 hours per week (flexible days). The contract is for 3 months initially with strong potential for extension based on performance and service needs.
