Hunter Gatherer Mental Health are looking for a Band 8a ADHD Nurse Practitioner / Non-Medical Prescriber to join a specialist Neurodevelopmental Service in Epsom, Surrey. This role combines face-to-face clinics with virtual assessments, offering a secure NHS contract and the opportunity to specialise further in ADHD pathways.

Job Title: Band 8a ADHD Nurse Practitioner / NMP
Location: Epsom, Surrey (Horizon House base + remote clinics)
Duration: 3–6 months ongoing
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm (part-time considered)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £34–£36 per hour (DOE, NHS capped rates)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Undertake ADHD assessments and diagnostic reviews for adults

  • Prescribe, titrate, and stabilise ADHD medications under consultant supervision

  • Manage your own caseload and contribute to shared care protocols with GPs

  • Screen referrals, complete risk assessments, and liaise with other health and social care services

  • Participate in service development, audits, and governance activities

  • Work closely with MDT colleagues, consultants, and wider Surrey services


Requirements & Qualifications:

  • NMC Registered Nurse (RMN, RGN, RNLD, RMNH)

  • V300 Independent Prescriber (or working towards)

  • Minimum 5 years’ post-registration experience

  • ADHD or neurodevelopmental service experience desirable (training available)

  • Strong clinical assessment, caseload management, and communication skills

  • Car driver preferred


Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9–5, though part-time may be considered. The contract is 3–6 months initially, with strong potential for extension.
