What You’ll Be Doing:
As a CPN in an older adults service, you will provide specialist mental health support to older adults in the community. Key responsibilities include:
Managing and coordinating a caseload of older adult service users with complex mental health needs
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing personalised care plans
Administering and monitoring medication and treatment effectiveness
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists
Maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to best practice standards
Providing crisis intervention and safeguarding where required
Requirements & Qualifications:
Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC) with current registration
Experience working in older adults mental health services, ideally in community settings
Strong communication, assessment, and risk management skills
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
Full-time locum, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00. Contract has strong potential for extension based on performance and service needs.
