Hunter Gatherer Mental Health are seeking an experienced Community Psychiatric Nurse (CAMHS) for a truly exceptional overseas opportunity based on a beautiful subtropical island in the South Atlantic.

This is a chance to use your CAMHS expertise where it matters most — supporting children and young people in a close-knit community, surrounded by dramatic coastlines, warm weather, and a relaxed island lifestyle.

The Role:
You’ll join a small, multidisciplinary mental health team providing assessment, intervention and support to children and adolescents with complex emotional and neurodevelopmental needs. Working collaboratively with schools, families and community services, you’ll help deliver early intervention, continuity of care, and positive long-term outcomes.

Package Highlights:

  • Salary: £40,000 per annum (pro rata)

  • International Supplement: £17,000 per annum (pro rata)

  • Contract: 4-month fixed-term (with potential to extend)

  • Flights: Fully paid return travel to and from the island

  • Accommodation: Secured locally – nurse contribution required

  • Additional Benefits: Relocation allowance (£750–£1,250) and freight allowance up to £1,000

  • Leave: 30 days per annum (pro rata)

  • Pension Contribution: 7.5% lump sum at contract end

Requirements:

  • NMC-registered Mental Health Nurse (Band 6 or above)

  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience within CAMHS or community mental health

  • Skilled in assessment, care planning, and multi-agency working

  • Confident working autonomously and adapting to new environments
