Are you a Nurse Prescriber looking for your next contract in substance misuse?

We’re currently working with a private client with services across the UK, seeking an experienced Non-Medical / Independent Prescriber (NMP) with a background in Substance Misuse / Drug & Alcohol services.

Role: Non-Medical / Independent Prescriber (NMP)
Location: Across the UK
Contract: Temporary / Ongoing
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Full-time, on-site
Rate: £40–£60 per hour (dependent on experience and location)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prescribing and managing treatment plans for service users with substance misuse and alcohol dependence

  • Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and reviews

  • Initiating, adjusting and monitoring medication in line with clinical guidelines

  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams including keyworkers, psychologists and medical staff

  • Providing risk assessment and safeguarding where required

  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and care plans


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with an active NMC pin

  • Qualified Independent / Non-Medical Prescriber (V300)

  • Proven experience in Substance Misuse / Drug & Alcohol services

  • Strong assessment, risk management and clinical decision-making skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
