Locum Social Worker Band 6 – High Pay, Flexible Contract in London!

• Job Title: Social Worker (Band 6)
• Location: Central London
• Duration: 3 months
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
• Start Date: ASAP 
• Rate of Pay: £27 per hour (umbrella, paid via direct engagement in a PAYE equivalent rate)

What You’ll Be Doing: Join our team as a Social Worker and play a key role in supporting individuals in the Preparing for Adulthood and Transitions team. In this role, you will:

• Perform independent clinical triage and facilitate social discharges from the acute setting.
• Liaise directly with local authorities, ICBs, and internal stakeholders.
• Support and assess community triage referrals from acute hospitals.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff as needed.
• Work in an office-based environment (no home visits required) at Barley Lane.

Requirements & Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current and valid registration with Social Work England (SWE).
• Proven experience as a Social Worker, preferably in an IDH/D2A model.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
• A valid full UK driver’s license (preferred but not essential).

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a flexible working position requiring availability Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM. The contract is for 3 months with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
