Job Title: Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner
Location: Birmingham
Duration: 3 months ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Rate of Pay: £26 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our team as a CAMHS Practitioner and play a crucial role in supporting children and young people with mental health challenges. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of patients, monitoring their mental health, risk factors, and medication.
  • Conducting mental health assessments and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support emotional well-being.
  • Liaising with families, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Offering crisis intervention and risk management strategies when required.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records in line with NHS guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid NMC registration (mental health).
  • Previous experience working in CAMHS or a mental health setting with children and young people.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
