Agency Opportunity: CAMHS ADHD – Senior Mental Health Practitioner (Band 7)

Location: Channel Islands
Rate: £40.00 per hour – Outside IR35
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, full-time
Start Date: ASAP – 4 weeks
Contract Duration: 3–6 months ongoing

Are you a skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner ready to make a difference in the lives of young people? We’re supporting a CAMHS service in need of a Band 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join their ADHD pathway team. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dynamic professional to deliver specialist assessment and interventions to children and adolescents with complex neurodevelopmental and mental health needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering comprehensive assessments for young people with ADHD and associated mental health challenges.

  • Providing therapeutic interventions and case management in both community and clinic-based settings.

  • Managing crisis presentations and risk assessments with autonomy.

  • Acting as a care co-ordinator, leading on care planning, reviews, and multi-agency liaison.

  • Supporting families, schools, and professionals to implement holistic care strategies.

  • Contributing to service audits, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or Allied Health Professional.

  • Minimum Band 6-level CAMHS experience, including ADHD or neurodevelopmental work.

  • Proven ability to work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Skilled in evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, systemic therapy, EMDR).

  • Confident in writing complex clinical reports and leading professional meetings.

  • Full UK driving licence may be required depending on the trust’s service area.

Working Hours & Contract Duration

  • Full-time: Monday to Friday (typically 9am–5pm).

  • Contract Length: 3–6 months ongoing, with potential for extension.

  • Immediate or short-notice start available.
