Band 6 CPN – Assessments and Duty – Guildford – £26ph

Hunter Mental Health are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse to join a Community Mental Health Recovery Service (CMHRS) based in Guildford.

Pay Rate:
£26 per hour

Hours:
Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday

Contract Length:
4 weeks initially (potentially 5 weeks)

Start Date:
20th July 2026 – 16th August 2026

Earlier starts may be available for the right candidate.

Role Overview:

This is a non-caseload position focused on duty work and mental health assessments within a busy community mental health service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking assessments, completing risk assessments, supporting duty functions and assisting with the management of referrals into the service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completing mental health assessments
• Undertaking risk assessments and management plans
• Participating in duty functions
• Managing referrals and triage activity
• Liaising with MDT colleagues and external agencies
• Maintaining accurate clinical records

Requirements:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration
• Previous Community Mental Health experience
• Strong assessment and risk management skills
• Ability to work independently within a busy community service
