Hunter Mental Health is supporting a well-established NHS team within Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) with an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join their community team in Maidstone.

Role: Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner (RMN, OT, or Social Worker)
Location: KMPT – Maidstone Community Mental Health Team
Duration: Ongoing contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (37.5 hours/week)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £27 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Undertaking triage and initial meetings, including use of the DIALOG+ assessment tool

  • Completing core and trusted assessments for service users with complex presentations

  • Working within a structured triage and assessment team – no caseload management

  • Collaborating with service users, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop clear care plans

  • Supporting the wider team with short-term interventions and handovers


Requirements:

  • Qualified RMN, OT, or Social Worker with valid registration (NMC/HCPC/Social Work England)

  • Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in mental health

  • Community mental health experience essential

  • Confident with RIO and DIALOG+ systems

  • Strong assessment and risk management skills

  • Must be able to travel independently as part of the role


Working Hours & Contract Length:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (No nights, no bank holidays)

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Ongoing contract
