Hunter Mental Health is working with a well-structured Older Adults Community Mental Health Team in the Maidstone area, who are looking for an experienced Band 6 CPN to join them on a locum basis.

• Role: Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse – Older Adults CMHT

• Location: Maidstone, Kent

• Contract: 3-month initial contract (likely to extend)

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm

• Start Date: ASAP

• Hourly Rate: £26–£27 per hour (umbrella)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Managing a caseload of older adults with functional and organic mental health conditions

• Conducting initial assessments, risk assessments, and developing person-centred care plans

• Providing support in the community, including home visits and liaising with families and carers

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and manage risk

• Ensuring accurate documentation in line with CPA and Trust standards

Requirements:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC)

• Experience working with older adults in community mental health settings

• Confident in carrying out memory assessments and managing complex needs

• Car driver with access to a vehicle is essential

Working Hours & Contract:

• Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm

• 3-month contract with likely extension

• Full-time preferred, part-time considered
