Join our team as a Mental Health Practitioner and play a key role in supporting individuals within a leading drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. In this role, you will:
Assess clients’ mental health and substance use to determine appropriate treatment plans.
Develop and implement personalised care plans, using evidence-based approaches.
Provide one-on-one counselling, therapy, and crisis intervention services.
Support clients in managing cravings, building coping strategies, and working towards recovery.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, doctors, and addiction specialists.
Educate and support clients’ families, promoting awareness of substance use and mental health.
Work on prevention and outreach programs within the community.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A current and valid registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council).
Proven experience working within a drug and alcohol service.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Experience in Crisis Teams or Psychiatric Liaison settings.
This is a full-time locum position, requiring availability Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM. The contract is initially for 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
