Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse Band 5
Location: Shrewsbury area
Duration: 3-month ongoing contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-time or Part-time available)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: TBC
Rate of Pay: £19.06 – £21.06 per hour

Join our team as a Band 5 Community Psychiatric Nurse and support older adults living with dementia within a dedicated and compassionate team. This is a fantastic developmental opportunity for a nurse seeking to expand their skills in a specialist mental health setting. Your core responsibilities include:
Conducting home visits and community-based assessments for older adults
Supporting dementia care planning and risk assessments
Liaising closely with carers, families, and MDT professionals
Delivering compassionate care that enhances quality of life and promotes dignity
Accurately maintaining records in line with clinical standards
Supporting wider team duties and caseload management under supervision
Current and valid NMC registration and PIN
Essential: Experience working with older adults with dementia
Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in the community
Full UK driver’s licence required
This role offers full-time or part-time flexibility, with hours Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The initial contract is for 3 months ongoing, with strong potential for extension depending on performance and service needs.
