We have an exciting opportunity to join an Older Adults Mental Health Team, offering excellent pay, full-time hours, and the chance to make a meaningful difference supporting individuals aged 65+ in the community.
Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse – Band 6
Location: Eastbourne area
Duration: 3-month ongoing contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: TBC
Rate of Pay: £25.27 – £26.27 per hour

Join a supportive and experienced community mental health team providing care to older adults living with dementia and complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out specialist mental health assessments in the community
Developing and reviewing care plans tailored to the individual needs of older adults
Delivering compassionate, evidence-based interventions to support patients and carers
Liaising with families, carers, GPs, and wider MDT teams
Supporting patients through medication management, risk assessments, and care coordination
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to safeguarding processes
Current and valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse
Essential: Previous experience working with older adults and dementia
Strong communication, empathy, and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to manage a community caseload independently
Full UK driver’s licence and access to a car required
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The contract is 3 months ongoing, with the possibility of extension depending on performance and service need.
