Join our team as a Bariatric Psychologist and make a real difference in the lives of patients undergoing bariatric surgery assessments (BARPOP – month 3 psychology review). Your core responsibilities include:
Delivering structured psychological assessments to evaluate a patient’s wellbeing, eating behaviours, support systems, coping strategies, and expectations regarding surgery
Identifying any psychological risks or concerns that may affect post-surgical outcomes
Making clinically informed recommendations and decisions around suitability for surgery
Working within a wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure treatment planning is holistic, appropriate, and risk-aware
Contributing to the development of safe, effective patient care pathways
HCPC-registered Clinical, Counselling, or Health Psychologist
Proven experience in bariatric or weight management services
Skilled in delivering psychological assessments and clinical decision-making
Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting
Strong MDT collaboration skills
