A Day in the Life of a CAMHS Practitioner:
Join our team within the CAMHS Early Help Pathway, supporting young people and their families through assessments and targeted interventions. Your role will focus on providing timely support to reduce escalation of difficulties and promote emotional wellbeing.
Conducting mental health assessments for children and young people
Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions (CBT, counselling, psychoeducation)
Supporting care planning and onward referrals where needed
Working collaboratively with an MDT and local services
Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with compliance standards
Requirements & Qualifications:
Registered Nurse, Social Worker, PWP, CBT Therapist, Counsellor or equivalent professional background
CAMHS experience (essential)
Strong communication and assessment skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This is a full-time, office-based role (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm). The contract is ongoing, with potential for extension depending on service need.
