Job Title: Clinical Psychologist (Band 8a)
Location: Sheffield (Central) – Partially remote available
Duration: Locum, ongoing contract
Schedule: 18 hours per week (1.5 days, 12-hour days, flexible with MDT on Thursdays – negotiable)
Start Date: ASAP (by October)
End Date: Ongoing
Rate of Pay: £40–£60 per hour (Umbrella, depending on experience)

A Day in the Life of a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist:
Join our service and play a key role in delivering the therapy component of the clinical pathway. You will provide both individual and group interventions, bringing your expertise in DBT, CBT, and core psychological approaches to support patients on their journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering structured group therapy sessions and individual 1:1 psychological interventions.
Contributing to MDT meetings and collaborative care planning.
Applying DBT, CBT, and other evidence-based models in line with patient needs.
Supporting service development and growth, offering clinical insight and innovation.
Engaging in flexible, partially remote working where suitable.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology.
HCPC registration (Clinical Psychologist).
Significant post-qualification experience (no newly qualified applicants).
Strong background in DBT, CBT, and evidence-based therapies.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This is a locum role requiring 18 hours per week, typically 1.5 days (12-hour days), with flexibility on working patterns. Ongoing contract with the opportunity to shape and grow with the service.
