• Job Title: Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (Band 8a) – Pain Management
• Location: Chase Farm Hospital, North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust
• Duration: Ongoing contract
• Schedule: Up to 37.5 hours per week (part-time considered)
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: TBC
• Rate of Pay: £35 per hour (Umbrella)
• Working Arrangement: Onsite

Role Overview:

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join a well-established Pain Management Service within the MSK department at North Middlesex University Hospital. The role will involve:

✔ Providing specialist psychological assessments, interventions, and treatments for patients experiencing persistent pain
✔ Delivering Pain Management Programmes and individual psychological therapy
✔ Working closely with Pain Consultants, Advanced Practitioners, and Clinical Nurse Specialists
✔ Supervising trainee psychologists and MDT staff in psychological approaches
✔ Leading service development and audits to enhance patient care

Requirements & Qualifications:

✔ HCPC-registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
✔ Experience in Pain Management and/or Physical Health Psychology
✔ Strong skills in psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based interventions
✔ Ability to work independently and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
✔ Experience in group work, consultation, and staff training
