• Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse (Band 6)
  Location: Ashford 
  Contract Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
  Home Working: Not available – must reliably commute to and work from Highlands House
  Rate: £27 per hour

  Role Overview:

  We are seeking a skilled and experienced Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join our team. The role involves conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments of new referrals in a community mental health setting for adults aged 18-70 years.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct triage and screening of referrals, with senior clinician support.
  • Perform clinical risk assessments, including safeguarding concerns, and ensure safe responses.
  • Carry out psychosocial assessments of new referrals.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical record-keeping using KMPT RIO, eMEDS, and In-Phase.
  • Attend home visits if required.
  • Work with a broad range of mental health disorders, from mild anxiety to complex trauma and psychosis.

  Requirements:

  • NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse.
  • Experience in clinical risk assessments (assessed via scenario-based interview).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook & Word).
  • Up-to-date safeguarding, personal safety, breakaway, and Data Protection training.
