Locum Mental Health Practitioner Band 6 – High Pay, Flexible Contract in Manchester!

£25 to £27 per hour (depending on experience)

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join a co-located multidisciplinary team supporting families affected by mental health, domestic abuse, and substance misuse. In this role, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and risk management plans
• Deliver evidence-based interventions in line with NICE guidance
• Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, and recovery practitioners
• Support safeguarding processes and contribute to MDTs and care planning
• Liaise with GPs, housing, and voluntary sector services to ensure holistic care

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current and valid NMC registration and pin
• Experience in adult mental health, safeguarding, or crisis/home treatment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence working independently and within a multi-agency team
• A commitment to trauma-informed, family-centred care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This flexible role requires availability across weekdays with occasional weekend cover. The initial contract is 3 months with strong potential for extension based on performance and service needs.
