Job Title: Senior Social Worker – Referral & Assessment
Location: Bromley
Duration: 3-month initial contract (high chance of extension)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £36 per hour

Join a fast-paced front door service assessing and responding to new referrals. Your work will directly impact vulnerable children and families across the borough.
In this role, you will:
Undertake section 17/47 assessments in line with statutory timescales
Contribute to effective multi-agency safeguarding planning
Manage a caseload efficiently, prioritising risk
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure children’s safety and well-being
Attend court proceedings where required and prepare high-quality reports
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Social Work degree or equivalent
Current Social Work England registration
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Referral & Assessment or Front Door teams
Strong knowledge of safeguarding frameworks and child protection procedures
Ability to manage cases under pressure and produce quality written work
Monday to Friday, full-time hours (37.5 per week)
Ongoing contract with strong likelihood of extension
Stable, supportive management team and a manageable caseload
