Salary: Starting from £49,390 (dependent on experience and interview)
Location: Birmingham (regional role across multiple inpatient and recovery units)
Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00
Start Date: 2–4 weeks
Duration: Permanent
As a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, you’ll be responsible for:
Providing professional leadership to OTs, OT Assistants, and Activity Workers across Birmingham sites
Managing a small clinical caseload, delivering assessments, interventions, and recovery-focused treatment
Leading the delivery and evaluation of therapeutic programmes, both group and individual
Offering senior clinical leadership within the MDT and representing the occupational therapy voice
Supporting service-users with complex and enduring mental health needs to achieve independence and recovery
Ensuring compliance with HCPC standards and evidence-based best practice
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
Proven experience in mental health settings (essential)
Strong clinical leadership skills with experience managing staff
Experience working with adults with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses
Ability to balance safety with therapeutic risk-taking in recovery-focused pathways
Commitment to compassionate, person-centred, and high-quality care
This is a full-time permanent position, core hours 09:00–17:00, Monday to Friday.
