Are you an experienced or aspiring HCPC-registered Psychologist looking to make a meaningful difference in neurobehavioral rehabilitation? We have an excellent opportunity within a well-supported, inpatient MDT setting in Stoke-on-Trent, working with adults experiencing brain injuries, cognitive impairment, physical disabilities, and behaviours that challenge.

A Day in the Life of a Psychologist:

You’ll be joining a specialist neurorehabilitation team providing psychological input across two currently open wards (10-bed and 8-bed), with a third 8-bed ward due to reopen. You’ll support adults with acquired brain injuries, complex cognitive and physical impairments, and high-risk behaviours through tailored assessment, formulation, and intervention.

Your responsibilities will include:

✔ Delivering neuropsychological assessments, formulations, and interventions
✔ Supporting multidisciplinary care planning alongside SLTs, OTs, dietitians, social workers, therapists, nurses, psychiatrists, and physiotherapists
✔ Supervising and managing two Assistant Psychologists
✔ Participating in ward rounds, clinical reviews, and service development initiatives
✔ Maintaining strong communication and psychological insight within the MDT

Requirements & Desirable Experience:

✔ HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist (any applied discipline)
✔ Experience in neurorehabilitation, brain injury, or complex care settings highly desirable
✔ Confident working in inpatient settings with behaviours that challenge
✔ Experience supervising junior staff is preferred
✔ Strong MDT collaboration skills

Working Conditions & Flexibility:

This is an on-site role (no remote working), but flexibility with working times is available to suit your preferences. The service is open to either:
A full-time Psychologist (5 days/week)
Or a part-time Consultant Psychologist (3 days/week)
