Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse – Band 7
Location: Hampshire area
Duration: 3-month ongoing contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: TBC
Rate of Pay: £29.27 – £31.27 per hour

Join a high-performing clinical team within a secure establishment, leading and delivering quality mental health care to patients in custody. Your key responsibilities will include:
Overseeing a team of mental health professionals and supporting service delivery
Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and managing caseloads
Providing clinical leadership and supervision
Supporting crisis care, medication management, and safeguarding interventions
Liaising with prison services, external agencies, and MDT colleagues
Maintaining clinical standards, documentation, and policy compliance
This role is ideal for an experienced RMN who is confident in both clinical delivery and team management within a secure or custodial environment.
Current and valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse
Essential: Active prison clearance and previous experience working in a prison environment
Essential: Proven managerial or leadership experience
Strong understanding of secure healthcare procedures and risk management
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The contract is 3 months ongoing, with strong potential for extension depending on performance and service needs.
