We’re working with a respected private provider who’s seeking an experienced Recovery Worker to join their dedicated drug and alcohol service across Ashford, Canterbury, and Dover. This is a fixed-term contract with the potential to go permanent, offering a meaningful opportunity to support service users through recovery and transformation.


Role: Recovery Worker – Drug & Alcohol Service
Location: Ashford, Canterbury & Dover
Contract Type: Fixed-term (with option to go permanent)
Client Type: Private
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Start Date: ASAP


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting individuals in the community through their drug and alcohol recovery journey

  • Conducting 1:1 and group interventions to promote engagement and harm reduction

  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external services

  • Maintaining accurate records and risk assessments

  • Contributing to care planning and ongoing recovery strategies


Requirements:

  • Experience working within substance misuse, recovery, or mental health services

  • Strong communication and engagement skills

  • Ability to manage a caseload and work independently

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred (due to multi-site work)
