• Job Title: Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse
• Location: Laurel Ward, Carlton Court Hospital, St. Peters Road, Carlton Colville, Lowestoft
• Duration: Ongoing contract
• Schedule: Full-time – 37.5 hours across a 24-hour rota, including weekdays and weekends
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing
• Rate of Pay: £20/hour (weekday), £25/hour (nights/Saturdays), £30/hour (Sundays/Bank Holidays)

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and play a key role in improving the lives of adults with acute mental health needs. In this role, you will:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the ward
• Provide direct patient care and support with daily living, including manual handling
• Administer and manage medications safely
• Complete and regularly review care plans and risk assessments
• Liaise effectively with the MDT and external agencies to ensure joined-up care
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centred care

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current and valid NMC registration and pin
• Previous inpatient experience as a Band 5 RMN
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage shift coordination and lead by example
• A commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This full-time role is based on 37.5 hours per week, spread across a 24-hour rota including nights and weekends. The contract is ongoing with potential for extension based on service needs.
