Join a dynamic Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in Cambridge as a Band 6 Social Worker. You’ll play a vital role in supporting adults experiencing a range of complex mental health issues within the community. Your key responsibilities will include:
✔ Managing a caseload of service users with varying needs
✔ Conducting comprehensive assessments and creating person-centred care plans
✔ Delivering recovery-focused interventions in line with Care Act and Mental Health Act frameworks
✔ Working collaboratively with MDT colleagues, families, and external agencies
✔ Safeguarding and risk management duties to ensure client safety and wellbeing
✔ Supporting service users’ access to community resources and long-term recovery
To be successful in this role, you will need:
✔ A current and valid Social Work England registration
✔ Experience working within a CMHT or similar community mental health setting
✔ Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and mental health legislation
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✔ The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
✔ A valid full UK driver’s licence (preferred but not essential)
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday from 9 AM – 5 PM, offering consistency and a healthy work-life balance. The contract is ongoing, with a strong potential for extension based on performance and service demand.
