We’re recruiting on behalf of a service for a Talking Therapies Manager to oversee services across two sites. This is a fantastic entry-level management opportunity, perfect for someone with Talking Therapies experience who is ready to take the next step into leadership.

  • Job Title: Talking Therapies Manager

  • Salary: £37,174 per annum

  • Contract: Fixed term until September 2026

  • Hours: 35 per week (4–5 days, flexible pattern – condensed fortnights considered)

  • Location: Hybrid – 2 days on-site (Manchester & Rochdale area), 3 days remote

  • Start Date: September 2025

About the Role:
This role involves overseeing two sites:

  • One established Talking Therapies service

  • One new Step 2 PWP-led service launching in September

The postholder will directly manage 3 staff members (2 Talking Therapies Supervisors and 1 PWP Supervisor) while indirectly overseeing a wider team. You’ll play a key role in establishing the new service’s USP’s and ensuring high-quality delivery across both areas.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide operational leadership across the Talking Therapies and Step 2 services

  • Oversee service mobilisation, embedding, and growth of the new PWP service

  • Ensure services are trauma-informed, culturally appropriate, and compliant with national Talking Therapies frameworks and regulatory guidance

  • Support clinical governance and contract monitoring reviews

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with NHS partners and stakeholders

  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure sustainability

  • Lead on safeguarding and quality assurance

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous Talking Therapies experience (essential) – you’ll be confident working within the national framework and guidelines

  • A collaborative, proactive, and self-starting approach

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • No requirement for previous formal management positions – this is a great opportunity to step up into leadership
