Job Title: Talking Therapies Manager
Salary: £37,174 per annum
Contract: Fixed term until September 2026
Hours: 35 per week (4–5 days, flexible pattern – condensed fortnights considered)
Location: Hybrid – 2 days on-site (Manchester & Rochdale area), 3 days remote
Start Date: September 2025
About the Role:
This role involves overseeing two sites:
One established Talking Therapies service
One new Step 2 PWP-led service launching in September
The postholder will directly manage 3 staff members (2 Talking Therapies Supervisors and 1 PWP Supervisor) while indirectly overseeing a wider team. You’ll play a key role in establishing the new service’s USP’s and ensuring high-quality delivery across both areas.
What You’ll Do:
Provide operational leadership across the Talking Therapies and Step 2 services
Oversee service mobilisation, embedding, and growth of the new PWP service
Ensure services are trauma-informed, culturally appropriate, and compliant with national Talking Therapies frameworks and regulatory guidance
Support clinical governance and contract monitoring reviews
Develop and maintain strong relationships with NHS partners and stakeholders
Manage budgets and resources to ensure sustainability
Lead on safeguarding and quality assurance
What We’re Looking For:
Previous Talking Therapies experience (essential) – you’ll be confident working within the national framework and guidelines
A collaborative, proactive, and self-starting approach
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
No requirement for previous formal management positions – this is a great opportunity to step up into leadership
