ADOS-2 training for experienced neurodevelopmental clinicians

ABOUT THIS TRAINING

This is specialist ADOS-2 training for registered clinicians who already have meaningful, hands-on experience working with autistic or neurodivergent clients.

Places are limited and every application is reviewed individually. This is not a course you can simply book – it is a selective programme designed to ensure that every clinician who completes it has the right foundation to use the tool responsibly in practice.

If you have the right background, this is excellent training. If you’re earlier in your neurodevelopmental career, we can point you towards other pathways that may be a better fit for where you are right now.

Training is delivered by an internationally recognised ADOS-2 trainer with extensive experience in neurodevelopmental diagnostic practice.

Who is this ADOS-2 training for?

Registered clinicians working with neurodevelopmental clients

Professionals involved in, or moving into, autism diagnostic or MDT pathways

Clinicians with access to supervision and the ability to commit to post-course practice

Typical backgrounds include psychologists, SLTs, OTs, psychiatrists and specialist mental health practitioners.

What the training involves:

The ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition) is the internationally recognised gold standard observational tool for autism assessment. It is used extensively across NHS and independent diagnostic services and referenced in NICE guidance.

  • Format: Small group, live online
  • Duration: TBC on application
  • Includes: Pre-course preparation, in-session teaching and practice, post-course certification work and follow-up support

Training focuses on administration, scoring and clinical interpretation - and is taught by an experienced clinician actively working in diagnostic practice.
