Hunter Mental Health are seeking experienced Autism Assessors to support growing demand across NHS and independent neurodevelopmental pathways.
We welcome applications from:
Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses (RMN/RNLD), Psychiatrists, Social Workers and other qualified HCPs with relevant neurodevelopmental experience.
You will complete high-quality Autism diagnostic assessments for children, young people or adults (depending on background and experience). This includes structured interviews, direct observation, clinical formulation, and contributing to diagnostic outcomes.
To be considered, you must have:
6–12 months+ direct experience completing Autism assessments
Training in ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R (essential)
Strong clinical formulation and report-writing skills
Ability to work independently and within a remote MDT
Full professional registration (HCPC / NMC / GMC / Social Work England etc.)
Up-to-date compliance and indemnity insurance
£250 – £350 per completed assessment (dependent on complexity and experience)
