Locum CBT Therapist (OCD Day Programme) – BABCP Accredited – Private Hospital, London

Hunter Gatherer Mental Health are supporting a private hospital in London with the recruitment of a BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist to deliver therapy within a specialist OCD Day Therapy Programme.

This is a part-time, programme-based role covering Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a planned start date of mid-March, including a crossover period where possible.

🗓 A Day in the Life

You will be delivering structured therapy within a specialist OCD Day Treatment Programme, working with clients presenting with complex and high-severity OCD.

The programme runs as a full therapeutic day and includes:

• Facilitating Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) groups (core treatment component)

• Delivering structured CBT-based group therapy

• Providing 1:1 CBT sessions as part of the treatment pathway

• Supporting and facilitating additional therapeutic groups including:

  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

All group materials and guidance frameworks are provided.

The programme runs for six-week blocks throughout the year, dependent on sufficient group numbers. As such, work is intermittent and may involve breaks between programme cycles.

✅ Requirements & Qualifications

• BABCP Accreditation – Essential (MUST HAVE)

• Strong CBT background – Essential

• Experience delivering CBT for OCD, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

• Experience working with complex presentations within structured therapy programmes

• Group facilitation experience

• Counselling Psychology background – Desirable

An initial crossover period is preferred to support transition into the programme.
