Job Title: Social Worker – Learning Disabilities
Location: Clackmannanshire (Community-Based)
Duration: 3 months initially (with potential extension)
Schedule: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £40 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will be working within a community setting, supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live as independently and safely as possible. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of service users with learning disabilities

  • Completing assessments, reviews, and care planning in line with legislation

  • Working in partnership with multidisciplinary teams, families, and carers

  • Safeguarding vulnerable adults and promoting their wellbeing

  • Supporting service users to access appropriate services and resources

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Qualified Social Worker with valid registration (SSSC or equivalent)

  • Proven experience working with learning disabilities

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently within a community setting

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)


Working Hours & Contract Duration

  • Full-time hours (Monday–Friday)

  • 3-month contract initially, with strong potential for extension
