Job Title: Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner
Location: Oldham
Duration: Ongoing Contract
Schedule: 37.5 Hours Per Week | Monday – Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £26 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join Oldham CAMHS and play a key role in delivering specialist mental health support to children and adolescents with complex emotional, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental needs. In this role, you will:

• Complete comprehensive initial mental health assessments for children and young people
• Carry out detailed risk assessments and formulate effective risk management plans
• Conduct autism assessments and contribute to neurodevelopmental pathways
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to young people and families
• Develop, implement, and review person-centred care plans
• Provide safeguarding support and crisis intervention where required
• Work closely with families, schools, social care, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support children and adolescents with a range of mental health presentations, including ASD, anxiety, depression, and behavioural difficulties
• Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality clinical documentation

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current and valid NMC registration or relevant professional registration
• Previous CAMHS experience
• Strong experience completing initial assessments and risk assessments
• Autism assessment experience is essential
• Therapeutic intervention experience within children’s mental health services
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge
• Strong communication and MDT working skills
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role offers 37.5 hours per week for an ongoing contract, with strong potential for extension based on service requirements.
