Job Title: Band 6 CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner
Location: Stockport
Duration: Ongoing Block Booking
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £26 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join a specialist CAMHS service and play a key role in delivering high-quality mental health care within the community. In this role, you will:

• Work as part of the duty practitioner rota within CAMHS
• Carry out initial mental health assessments
• Undertake risk reviews and ongoing risk management
• Complete case formulation and caseload management duties
• Support safeguarding processes and procedures
• Deliver community-based mental health interventions
• Attend MDT meetings and contribute to care planning
• Participate in child protection meetings and TAC meetings
• Liaise with schools, children’s social care services, and VCSE partners
• Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold service standards

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Current and valid professional registration (NMC, HCPC, SWE or equivalent)
• Previous CAMHS and community mental health experience
• Strong assessment, safeguarding, and risk management experience
• Experience managing mental health caseloads independently
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and liaison skills
• An in-date DBS issued within the last 12 months is essential
• Immediate availability preferred

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start on an ongoing block booking with strong potential for extension.
