Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Essex – 3 Month Ongoing Contract

We’re looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join the Recovery & Wellbeing Team. Could this be you?

Here’s what you need to know:
Position: Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)
Location: Essex
Duration: 3 months Ongoing

Schedule: Monday to Friday (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £24-£27 per hour

A Typical Day in This Role
As a Band 6 CPN in the Recovery & Wellbeing Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting individuals on their mental health recovery journey. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals’ mental health and social needs.
  • Developing and delivering tailored care plans to meet each person’s unique requirements.
  • Providing therapeutic interventions and crisis support as needed.
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, carers, and external agencies to ensure cohesive and effective care.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with professional and organizational standards.
  • Acting as an advocate for service users, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
  • Utilizing evidence-based practices to assess, plan, and implement care interventions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Active registration with the NMC as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Experience: Proven experience working in community mental health settings.
  • Skills: Strong communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Approach: A commitment to compassionate, person-centered care.

Working Hours and Duration
This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday role (37.5 hours per week). The initial contract is for 3 to 6 months, with the potential for extension.
