Job Title: Band 6 Health Visitor
Location: Wembley 
Salary: £35,392 - £42,618 per annum (Band 6)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Locum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible working options available)

About the Role:

Are you a dedicated and compassionate nurse looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and families? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6 Health Visitor to join our dynamic team in Wembley. As a Health Visitor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, community-based health services, supporting families to ensure children have the best possible start in life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme, providing expert advice, support, and interventions to families with children from birth to five years old.
  • Conduct assessments of children’s development, parental well-being, and family dynamics.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including GPs, midwives, social workers, and schools.
  • Provide health education and promotion, focusing on areas such as breastfeeding, immunisations, and mental health.
  • Support families with safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with NHS and professional standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Registered Nurse (Child, Adult, or Mental Health) with a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) qualification in Health Visiting.
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Experience in community-based healthcare, ideally within a health visiting or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and professionals.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and keeping up-to-date with best practices in health visiting.
