Job reference: 35057
Consultant: Owen Bowerman

We are working with a service that is seeing continued demand for complex ADHD assessments and is looking to bring in an experienced Psychologist to support both assessment delivery and MDT input. This role would suit a clinician based in or around Sheffield who is confident working across both children and adults, with flexibility to attend on site when required.

• Job Title: Psychologist
• Location: Sheffield area
• Duration: Long term
• Schedule: Flexible assessment work with regular MDT availability
• Start Date: ASAP
• Rate of Pay: £350 to £375 per assessment, plus £70 per hour for MDT work
• Contact: Owen Bowerman – 0203 475 4175 / obowerman@hg-mh.com

What the role will involve:

• Completing complex ADHD assessments across both child and adult pathways
• Reviewing triage information completed by an Assistant Psychologist before assessment
• Contributing to MDT discussions, ideally on the same day as the assessment
• Supporting clinical decision making and report review within agreed service timeframes
• Working closely with the wider clinical team to ensure assessments are completed to a high standard
• Attending on site in or near Sheffield for assessments when required

Requirements:

• HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
• Around 1 to 2 years’ relevant post qualified experience
• Previous ADHD assessment experience is highly desirable
• ADOS and ADI-R experience would be a strong advantage
• Confidence working with both children and adults
• Strong clinical judgement, clear documentation skills and the ability to work collaboratively within MDT settings

Working pattern:

Assessments may require on site attendance in the Sheffield area, so applicants should be based locally or within a commutable distance. MDTs can be completed remotely, with the service ideally needing daily availability for either 1pm to 2pm or 4pm to 5pm. Reports will be generated following assessment and discussed within MDT, typically within 24 hours.

To discuss the role in more detail, contact Owen Bowerman on 0203 475 4175 or email obowerman@hg-mh.com.
