Band 7 Mental Health Professional / Clinical Psychologist – CAMHS
Location: Springfield Hospital, Tooting (Minimum 3 days per week onsite)
Pay Rate: £35.31 per hour
Duration: Initial 3-month contract
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00) or minimum 4 days per week
We are seeking a Band 7 Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, Mental Health Nurse Specialist, or suitably qualified mental health professional to join the Wandsworth Single Point of Access (SPA) CAMHS Service based at Springfield Hospital in Tooting.
This post offers an initial 3-month contract with a competitive rate of £35.31 per hour.
Referral Triage: Screen and triage new incoming referrals to the CAMHS service.
Risk & Mental Health Assessments: Conduct brief triage calls with young people and carers to assess mental health needs and immediate risk.
In-Person Assessments: Lead face-to-face mental health assessments with young people and their families.
MDT Collaboration: Liaise effectively with external professionals, school contacts, and multi-agency partners.
Signposting: Direct young people and families to suitable alternative support pathways where appropriate.
Appropriate active professional registration (e.g., HCPC, NMC).
Previous experience working within a CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) environment.
Strong risk-assessment skills and experience conducting clinical triages.
Availability for at least 4 days per week, with a minimum of 3 days onsite at Springfield Hospital.
