Working within a Community Mental Health Team, you will undertake both urgent and routine mental health assessments, formulate and manage risk, develop person-centred care and safety plans, and provide therapeutic interventions for adults with serious mental illness. The role includes outpatient and community-based working, liaising with GPs, social care and third-sector partners, monitoring physical health, administering treatment for long-term mental health conditions including depot medication and clozapine where appropriate, and supporting recovery-focused care within a multidisciplinary team.
To be successful in this role, you will need a current and valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD). Previous experience working within a Community Mental Health Team is essential, along with strong assessment, risk management and care coordination skills. Physical health, depot and clozapine competencies are highly desirable, and experience supporting people living with Serious Mental Illness is essential.
This is a full-time locum position working Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with an ASAP start until 30th September 2026. There is a strong possibility of extension based on service needs.
