Location: North West Shropshire
Salary: £25.50 per hour (Days), £30.50 per hour (Nights/Saturdays), £35.50 per hour (Sundays/Bank Holidays)

Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker seeking a new challenge? Do you have a passion for providing high-quality care to children and adolescents in crisis? We are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Social Worker to join our dynamic team in a non-caseload crisis service.

Role Overview: As a Band 6 Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialist mental health support to children and adolescents experiencing crisis situations. Working within a non-caseload crisis team, you will deliver timely and responsive care to individuals in need, ensuring they receive the support necessary to navigate challenging circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and adolescents in crisis, including risk assessments and formulation of care plans.
  • Providing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic support to promote recovery and resilience.
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and CPN's, to ensure coordinated care delivery.
  • Offering crisis intervention and support to families and carers, involving them in the care planning process where appropriate.
  • Facilitating access to appropriate community resources and support networks to enhance the well-being of service users.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration.
  • Previous experience working within a CAMHS or adolescent mental health setting is essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent mental health issues, including crisis intervention strategies.
  • Strong assessment and care planning skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, adolescents, families, and other professionals.
  • Flexibility to work a mix of shifts, including nights, long days, weekends, and bank holidays. Shift pattern to be discussed during the interview process.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
