HMP Swinfen Hall – Staff Nurse (Prison) – Band 6 RMN
HMP/YOI Drake Hall – Staff Nurse (Prison) – Band 6 RMN
HMP Stoke Heath – Non-Medical Prescriber – Band 7

Prison Mental Health Opportunities – MPFT
Location: Staffordshire (Multiple Sites)
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday – Friday (service dependent)
Start Date: ASAP
Rates:

• Band 6 RMN – £26 per hour
• Band 7 NMP – £30 per hour
  Must be prison cleared

We are currently recruiting for multiple prison mental health roles across MPFT. These opportunities provide the chance to work within well-established healthcare teams in secure environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering mental health assessments within a prison setting
• Managing a defined caseload of service users
• Completing risk assessments and care planning
• Providing therapeutic interventions and support
• Working collaboratively with prison staff and multidisciplinary teams
• Supporting crisis presentations and urgent mental health needs
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation

Requirements & Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration
• Previous experience within mental health services
• Strong risk assessment and care planning skills
• Prison or secure setting experience desirable
• Non-Medical Prescriber qualification required for Band 7 role
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Working Hours & Contract Duration

• Full-time hours preferred
• Part-time considered depending on service needs
• Ongoing contracts available
• Immediate start dates available
