We are seeking a highly motivated and specialised Registered Nurse with a robust background in Substance Misuse and Recovery to join a fast-paced team in Birmingham. This is a vital role supporting service users through detox, stabilisation, and long-term recovery plans.
This position is ideal for a proactive professional who can hit the ground running and provide high-quality clinical care within a multidisciplinary environment.
Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and screenings for drug and alcohol dependency.
Administering and monitoring medically assisted detox protocols.
Providing harm reduction advice, blood-borne virus (BBV) screening, and vaccinations.
Working collaboratively with social workers, doctors, and recovery coordinators to deliver holistic care plans.
Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with national standards and best practices.
Valid NMC Registration (RMN or RGN).
Proven experience working within a drug and alcohol service or a similar clinical setting.
Strong understanding of clinical prescribing and detox regimes.
Excellent communication skills and a non-judgemental approach to patient care.
Ability to start immediately or on short notice.
Competitive hourly pay (£25.00 – £28.00 depending on experience).
Consistent full-time hours for a duration of 3 to 6 months.
