Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)
Location: Canterbury
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00
Band: 6
Start Date: 30th April 2026
Rate: £26.50 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing
You will be working across clinical pathways, delivering high-quality care within outpatient and community settings. The role involves assessing both urgent and routine mental health presentations and contributing to effective, patient-centred care.

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments (urgent and routine)
  • Develop risk formulations and contribute to dialog-based care planning
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs
  • Liaise with system partners including GPs, social care, and third sector organisations
  • Run clinics and support ongoing patient reviews
  • Monitor physical health and administer treatments for long-term mental health conditions
  • Complete care planning, safety planning, and outcome measures
  • Work with individuals experiencing Serious Mental Illness (SMI)

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNMH) or Learning Disability Nurse
  • Previous experience working with individuals with Serious Mental Illness
  • Strong background in community and/or outpatient settings
  • Competency in physical health monitoring
  • Experience with depot administration and clozapine management
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team

Working Hours & Contract Duration
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, on an ongoing basis.
