Are you a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse looking for a rewarding locum role within a Later Life Community Mental Health Team? Job Title: Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)
Location: Greater Manchester
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.5 Hours per Week)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £26 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:

Join a dedicated Later Life Community Mental Health Team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to older adults experiencing mental health difficulties. In this role, you will:

• Manage a caseload of service users within the community
• Complete comprehensive mental health assessments and care planning
• Undertake and document risk assessments and risk management plans
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) environment
• Support service users with both functional and organic mental health diagnoses
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Contribute to recovery-focused interventions and ongoing care reviews
• Apply knowledge of the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation in practice
• Liaise with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure coordinated care

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Current and valid NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse
• Previous experience working as a Community Psychiatric Nurse
• Experience working within a community mental health setting
• Understanding of Later Life mental health issues and both functional and organic diagnoses
• Experience completing risk assessments and care documentation
• Strong MDT working and communication skills
• Knowledge and understanding of the Mental Health Act
• Experience using PARIS electronic patient records system is desirable

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start and an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension.
