As a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN), you will undertake specialist mental health assessments for adults with complex mental health needs, identifying treatment goals and delivering recovery-focused care. You will manage and care coordinate a defined community caseload, using evidence-based, person-centred approaches to promote recovery, health promotion, relapse prevention, and social inclusion. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality mental health support while maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring safe, effective care.
To be successful in this role, you will need a current and valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), previous Community Mental Health Team experience, and strong assessment, risk management, and care coordination skills. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care are essential.
This is a full-time locum position working Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with an ASAP start for an initial 3-month contract. There is a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
